Mt. Olympus is officially known from Greek mythology as the home of the Twelve Gods. The shape created by the rain and wind, which helped elevate a secluded chateau in 2918m (Mytikas). Counts many peaks and an almost circular shape. It is undoubtedly the most popular mountain in Greece. The impressive height, the mythical charm and easy accessibility make it an attraction for thousands of visitors from every corner of the world. Roads and trails crossing the mountain gives the opportunity to the hikers and visitors to get to know closely varieties of flora and fauna but also its natural beauty.
One of the hidden beauties of Mt. Olympus is the waterfall of Red Rock. A natural scenery unaffected from human interventions waits to be explored. The clear cold waters are lost on a deep hall several meters below surface. The astonished rocks created the impressing waterfall high enough to surprise us.
Short description: We have our meeting at 09:00 at the church of St. Constantine at Dion Olympus. There we will get ready for our walk in a forest trail with our first stop in the natural spring of the area, a few meters from the running water of the gorge. We continue our path until we reach the Red Rock waterfall. There we will swim in the natural pool and have a break for our snack. Return from a different path with spectacular views of the canyon from above until we reach for swimming and jumping in another natural pool at the base of the canyon Ourlias. Our return is just minutes away to depart for our destinations.
We offer: We provide guidance with an experienced mountain guide, your transportation, photos and video.
You should have the following: Suitable hiking shoes, Small backpack, Snack, Swimsuit, Towel.
Requirements: Suitable for all ages. Parental consent is required for minors under 18 years old.
Cost and Payment: The cost of the activity amounts to 36€ per participant. For children under the age of 14 is 30€.
