The Mountain Of The Gods
Mt. Olympus is officially known from Greek mythology as the home of the Twelve Gods. The shape created by the rain and wind, which helped elevate a secluded chateau in 2918m (Mytikas). Counts many peaks and an almost circular shape. It is undoubtedly the most popular mountain in Greece. The impressive height, the mythical charm and easy accessibility make it an attraction for thousands of visitors from every corner of the world. Roads and trails crossing the mountain gives the opportunity to the hikers and visitors to get to know closely varieties of flora and fauna but also its natural beauty.
Short description: We have our meeting at 09:00 at the parking lot of Litochoro Pierias. From there you will board on an off road minibus towards to the church of St. Kori. We start with short hike to the base of the canyon to continue in the stunning forest of Olympus with stop for swimming and relaxing in the natural pool of the area. Then we go off road to a hidden natural pool of Araplakos where a few know about it. Our trip continues to the picnic station at a nearby church of St. Vasilios with stunning views of the mount. Finally, we visit the village of Litochoro, where you will have time to discover on your own.
We offer: We provide guidance with an experienced mountain guide, your transportation, coffee and dessert. Photos and video.
You should have the following: Suitable hiking shoes, Swimsuit, Towel.
Requirements: Suitable for all ages. Parental consent is required for minors under 18 years old.
Cost and Payment: The cost of the activity amounts to 36€ per participant. For children under the age of 14 is 30€.
Number of participants: A private tour of 10 people at Mount Olympus.
